about me
i’m natalie, a figurative painter, ceramicist, and aspiring curator from nyc!
my interests center around human nature and sensuality, exploring how emotions, interpersonal relationships, and personal histories are reflected in the body. i am most drawn to painting and ceramics for the way they respond to the movement and impact of my body, allowing me to imprint on them my place in the world. conveying my feelings and experience invites the viewer into their own vulnerability.
exploring museums like the Metropolitan or the MoMA throughout my childhood cemented in me a reverence of art history which deeply inspires my work to this day, as do philosophy, mythology, literature, and music. i deeply believe that we are a reflection of our environment, whether that be the place we're in or the people we surround ourselves with, which is why i take every opportunity i can to travel and build community.
in 2026, i received my BFA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of Visual Arts.
in 2025, i was a Summer Resident at the New York Academy of Art, and also co-founded Common Ground Collective: an organization that supports emerging artists by providing exhibition opportunities and career workshops that facilitate connection and community. i discovered my passion for curation after organizing my own group show at SVA, and have the pleasure of carrying that love into my curatorial role at CGC as well.
post-grad, my curiosity about other cultures and art history has inspired me to travel the world and seek out residencies abroad, starting this adventure at Casa R.A.R.O. in Barcelona. im learning to treat every day as a new adventure, allowing whatever comes to impact my work.
