about me

i’m natalie, a figurative painter, ceramicist, and aspiring curator from nyc!

i’m interested in human nature and sensuality, using my work to explore the ways in which emotions, relationships to one another, and personal histories are reflected in the body.

oil paint and ceramics are the two mediums i am most drawn to because of their malleability: they react to the movement and impact of my body, allowing me to imprint on them my place in the world.

i translate feelings into form and color, drawing inspiration from philosophy, mythology, literature, and music. Hellenistic Greek sculpture, Egon Schiele, John Singer Sargent Sargent, and Peter Paul Rubens, as well as contemporary artists like Oleksii Shcherbak, Janine Antoni, and Grayson Perry inspire and influence my work.

in 2026, i’m set to receive my BFA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of Visual Arts.

last year, i was a Summer Resident at the New York Academy of Art, and also co-founded Common Ground Collective: an organization that supports emerging artists by providing exhibition opportunities and career workshops that facilitate connection and community. i discovered my passion for curation after organizing my own group show at SVA, and have the pleasure of carrying that love into my curatorial role at CGC as well.
